Frequently Asked Questions

Read some of our most frequently asked questions. Please give us a call if you have a question that isn't covered here.

What are the signs my roof has problems?

Common signs include missing, cracked or curling shingles, a large amount of shingle granules in your gutters, leaks or water damage in your attic or ceilings, a sagging roof, and visible moss or mold growth.

How much does a new roof cost?

The cost of a new roof can vary widely depending on the size of your roof, the type of materials used, and your location. On average, you might expect to pay anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 for a new asphalt shingle roof, but it could be more for larger roofs or more expensive materials.

Do new roofs have warranties?

We offer a 2-year warranty on full roof and gutter installations. Contact us for more information about warranties.

How long will it take to replace my roof?

Generally one day. A great roofing company should be able to complete a homeowner's roof in just one day. There are certainly exceptions which might push the completion time out by a day, but that is usually the standard.

What should you ask your roofing contractor before hiring?

Some good questions to ask include: Are you licensed and insured? Can you provide references? Do you offer a warranty on your work? What does the estimate include? How long will the job take?

How long will my roof last?

The lifespan of your roof will depend on the type of materials used. On average, asphalt shingle roofs last about 15-20 years, metal roofs can last 35-70 years, and tile roofs can last over 100 years.

Do I need to be home during the roofing process?

No, it is not necessary for you to be home during the installation. If our team has any questions, we will be sure to reach out in case any issues arise that need to be addressed quickly. If you would like to be home during the installation or repair process, that is also fine as well.

Can you install a roof in any season?

While it's possible to install a roof in any season, the ideal conditions for roofing are in dry, moderate weather. Professional roofers can work around less than ideal conditions, but it may extend the timeline for the project.

What should I do to prepare for the roof installation?

Before your new roof is installed, you should remove all items from around the perimeter of your home and ensure that the roofing crew will have access to a power source. We have a customer preparation document that outlines all the details. Please reach out and we will be happy to send you one.

I have a roof leak, what do I do?

If you discover a roof leak, try to minimize any damage possible by catching the water and making sure there is no mold present. Call a professional immediately so they can come out to your property and help fix the issue permanently.
